Field of Play x Nakatomi
Field of Play is thrilled to announce that it has been acquired by venture builder Nakatomi. The move solidifies a four-year-long partnership, integrating Field of Play’s specialised expertise to deliver high-craft design and strategic momentum, now supported by Nakatomi’s comprehensive creative ecosystem.
Field of Play will continue serving its own disruptive clientele, while also functioning as Nakatomi’s dedicated brand studio for their portfolio of ventures.
Creative Director and Founder Elliot Stansfield PDINZ will continue to lead Field of Play, while also stepping into the role of Head of Design at Nakatomi. This dual role ensures brand and product strategy are built hand-in-hand from day one, ensuring ventures are both beautiful and deeply commercial.
“Great ventures deserve brands that command attention."
This partnership formalises a collaboration built on results, including key identity work that recently helped Nakatomi raise A$3.5 million. Together, the teams have delivered brands that have opened doors to funding, fostered communities, increased revenue, and even changed laws.
“To find creative partners of this quality and pair it with an emerging studio like Field of Play is exceedingly rare” said Elliot Stansfield. “This partnership means support, growth with purpose, and critical connection. For our clients, it’s the same bold thinking and attention to detail they expect, now amplified by more brains, hearts, and hands on deck.”
Andy Timms, Founding Partner at Nakatomi, confirmed the synergy: “By embedding Field of Play into our model, we’re creating ventures that resonate immediately with customers and scale faster.”
“Great ventures deserve brands that command attention. Field of Play has helped define the look, feel, and market presence of some of our most successful ventures. Bringing that expertise inside Nakatomi allows every new company we build to launch with the clarity, confidence, and creativity of a world-class brand.” - Benjamin Bray, Founding Partner at Nakatomi.
