Ōkiwi Bay

Nestled among the rolling hills of the Marlborough Sounds, lies the small town of Ōkiwi Bay. The newly formed Ōkiwi Bay Recreational Trust was founded by community members as they create a new track along the Kaimiko Stream - allowing both locals and visitors the opportunity to experience a new perspective of the area. The modernist brand is designed to capture the essence of Ōkiwi Bay and support the Trust as they work toward opening the first shared track in the area (accessible for hiking and mountain biking). The brand motif is constructed by abstracting Ōkiwi Bay’s surrounding landscape to create a silhouette ridgeline as seen when entering the bay from Croisilles Harbour. The bottom half of the mark is a refraction of the upper half to reflect Ōkiwi Bay’s body of water. The outer silhouette of the motif is a robust diamond - suggesting strength, trust and longevity.
